What is HaloShield®?

HaloShield® is a coating applied to textiles such as towels and linens that prolongs the proven power of chlorine bleach to control odor-causing bacteria. Patent-protected N-halamine technology binds the chlorine molecules in bleach to the fabric. In as little as ten minutes, the chlorine reduces 99.9 percent of the bacteria with which it comes in contact. Consumers need only wash the towels in bleach to recharge HaloShield’s anti-odor capability. HaloShield works without leaching or creating antibiotic-resistant microbes. In addition, HaloShield’s technology has been shown to extend the life of the treated fabric and is completely inert and non-irritating.
